offered to my husband for a special occasion, this film has rocked his teenage years, because it was his 1° video cassette at the time! good in dvd now it works better!!! What an incredible adaptation of the beautiful novel of Hardy. The scenery, the atmosphere, everything is there. There are some differences in the way apréhender the characters, Batsheeba is in the film more sympathetic to the viewer than it is in the novel. Bolwood loses also a bit in the film of this nature obsessive that is high crescendo under the pen of Hardy and that explains a lot. Oak is just and sublime, a true blow of heart for this actor! Hat. Anyway, two hours of a pure regal, to look without hesiter. Everyone knows this movie, everyone has seen, at the cinema, on tv or on DVD. The blu-ray presented here has the merit of we restore it in its version of 4h with a picture of an incredible beauty (as was previously the Ben-Hur or Gone with the Wind). The audio commentary was already known, it remains as pertinent as ever. But we added, for this edition, the excellent documentary Tom Rothman (Fox Legacy) which, in half an hour, takes us back to the history of this epic (1960-1963) by comparing it to the "sinking" of the Titanic (the Cameron's movie) who experienced the same setbacks, question length, timing and amount.Cheap Karcher 9.036-703.0 Connection Delivery Side:
It is very ingenious, very clever, with documents and pictures to support it, and it changes us from the wooden language of the filmmakers and actors today who spend their time on the tv shows, to lick the boots of each other. One begins the game of this police investigation, and the suspense becomes unbearable. Less joke, more solemnity, J. P. Jeunet has matured and reveals her interest for suffering and death. charming story, a real school of life; cast prestigious with a malcovich snake exceptional (in the same way as in his Portrait of a lady), a candid and more than perfect Pfeiffer, and what to say of the subtle perversion of Mrs. Close? decor more than neat: a masterpiece of the genre. Intrigue, love, betrayal, worthy of Cleopatra deserves that his name, through all the centuries, is as much prized. For me one of the most important roles of Robin Williams. Excellent study of the closed nature of this education that prevented students from thinking for themselves and become actors of their own lives. In fact it is a very beautiful film, even if there are missing scenes on the DVD, but on Blu-ray, it is a scam, that is not quite the transposition of the US version which is region A/1, but the UK version is in "All Regions" or "Free". Personally it is in English, does not bother me absolutely not seen that I master this language, but for my wife it is another thing, not only because it does not understand the English, but it has very serious vision problems that prevent to read the sub-titles. (even if they do not match most of the time the dialogues). Warner is for the Area 2 for the DVD and for the area B/2 for Blu-ray, an editor, and despising the consumers and contemptible by its policy of publishing and distribution. It could very well edit this Blu-ray also in French as well as the DVD.. So before you talk about the movie, we are going to compare this new edition with the old. The first thing you notice, of course, are the bonus features (absent from the old edition) which allow us to learn a lot of things. Then there is the sound that has been reworked. If the 5. 1 from the old edition left a little to be desired, here, no doubt, one feels IN the film. The sound is really coming from everywhere. And finally, there is the image that has been smoothed without being fuzzy. In short, a edition Collector. Concerning the film now, very quickly, it is excellent and remains a timeless classic. We always look forward to with much pleasure. Go ahead on this little gem and if you have the old edition, trade-against it :-) Even if death looms over this story, when it borrows the traits of Brad Pitt, and gives the reply to Anthony Hopkins, it gives a small wonder. The couple Brad Pitt/Claire Forlani is one of the most romantic.
